Though it might not be essential for your opening to know exactly how the story would unfold and end, through the process of planning our opening, we have been able to come up with a rough idea of what could, or would happen.
the story behind the film is that a young boy (15/16 max) who has lost both parents and so is gardened by a Friend of his parents. However he is reluctant to take on full responsibility, but allows the boy to live in the school grounds he looks after as the grounds keeper. The boy get by from snatching from the canteen, dressing from lost property and he sleeps around the school grounds. However, as we find out this is all unbeknown to his school Friends.
This isn't a problem though, that is until he falls in love and is caught in a difficult situation of being asked about 'home' and why he wont have her round for tea, or to meet his parents. the situation then worsens hugely as the school bully (who fancies the same girl) finds out his secret and is threatening to reveal all if he doesn't cut off his relationship with his girlfriend.
solutions could include:
-revealing all and hoping she loves him for who he is.
-school finding out and having him taken into care away from the only thing he has left he can call family.
-sad ending prompting for a second film to solve the problems.
this in mind the opening only focuses on introducing the main charecter, his surroundings, and ends on the bombshell that his freinds are completey in the dark about his grim situation.
