For this we used the site 'www.artofthetitle.com', which had a whole host of opening titles for us to watch and help spark inital ideas/concepts. one opening title we watched was 'Juno'

this is effective because it uses colourful backgrounds and good effects with the surroundings.
they did this 12 frames per second, 900 hand-cut images were composited onto a background to create this opening sequence.
Though the low 12 frames/second might give a jumpy, 'laggy' feel, it was accepted as a deliberate chioce as it is the effect they wanted from the scene. the opening scene is also ocompanied by an upbeat soundtrack.
