Preliminary Task T2-55

T2-55 PRELIMINARY TASK - YR12_2009 from SATMEDIASTUDIES on Vimeo.

What is continuity editing?

The three rules.
180 degree rule

180 degree rule, is a basic guide line in film that states that two characters in the same scene should always same left/right relationship to each other. if the camera passes over the imaginary axis connecting the two subjects, its is called 'crossing the line'.

Match on action
is when you cut during an action to another camera angle but showing the action from the same point in time that you left it from the previous shot. this is important to continue the flow of the scene.

Shot/reverse shot
shooting a conversation over the shoulder allows both characters to remain in the scene throughout.

Write abut how far you think your group succeeded in demonstrating these basic rules. Refer to examples to show where you did and did not succeed.
